Welcome! I’m Pastor Carrie Bland.
I’m an Ordained Elder in the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church, with an M.Div. from Seattle Pacific Seminary, a B.A. in Sociology from Central Washington University, and an A.T.A. in Business Administration from South Puget Sound Community College.
I’m passionate about building communities grounded in love, justice, and belonging. I care deeply about racial and social justice, creating sacred crafts like prayer beads, sharing meaningful conversations, and loving all of God’s creatures, especially animals.
At the heart of my ministry is this simple truth: you are beloved by God. I believe every person is of sacred worth, and there is always room for you at the table.
My husband, Paul, is a Professional Service Manager: which means he helps people learn to work better together through hands-on, high-up adventure (ask him, he tells it better than I do!).
We share our home with three delightful dogs who remind us daily of unconditional love, playfulness, and the joy of a good walk. They’re part of our family and often part of the ministry too, whether offering tail wags at the church office or inspiring children’s sermons.
Whether you're exploring faith for the first time or looking for a spiritual home, you are welcome here just as you are.
